My gut feeling is that the mayor is attempting to fleece F.I.T.X. in order to sweeten his retirement account. The Lakeshore citizens must be a large group of back woods fools for permitting such behavior. If F.I.T.X. is ultimately forced to file suit against the town of Lakeshore, F.I.T.X.will surely win a multi-million dollar settlement based on previous decisions mad by Canadian courts. The tax rate will definitely go through the overhead in an attempt to satisfy what will be an out-of-court settlement. The citizens of Lakeshore will get what they so richly deserve. Their only option is to settle now, apologize to F.I.T.X., and ride the good mayor out of town on a rail, but only once he is tarred and feathered. Get smart now, citizens, or suffer the consequences. They will be dire.
