[u]if u've been in the penny market any time at all you know that this last year has been a unique and perfect storm of attacks against penny stocks[/u].
As a result of the shenanigans/ shorting which helped precipitate the great financial crisis/recession, [u]investigations into mm etc fraud and resulting new rules 3-1-11 against mm naked shorting caused mm's and brokers to fight back w their lobbyists to redirect agencies attentions to penny stocks as a scapegoat

having successfully done so w the aid of a new anti-business reg environment the reg agencies pulled back in their reg role re mm/s and brokers etc -who ran w the new freedom to accomplish what they always wanted to do-limit penny stocks
so the attacks began w shadow entity dtcc which placed 100's of stocks on dtc ineligible list often for no discernible reason
brokers then used that as an excuse to restrict trading in those and many other stocks-zecco had a list of 2000 stocks restricted at zecco
penson brokers games summer 2011 restricting trading and imposing outlandish fees for many penny stocks, td and others restricting stocks in fall 2011
plus otc putting many 100's of stocks on ce without either notification or proof of the reason
[u]all these non reg agencies have been essentially exercising dictatorial power without oversight and often won't even tell co's lawyers why they were put on such lists or restrictions[/u].
[u]which makes it hard to get restrictions removed if u dont even know the reason for them in 1st place
U can look at my detailed posts on this and see we were all trying to figure out just what was occurring and why [/u]
Bob and I as well as tlc2 and sunnybanks and jsnides etc did research on this and I relayed research to Bob many times and he looked into these things from his end-[u]spending days trying to figure out what was going on[/u]
[b]bottom line-nobody could predict these unprecedented actions and otc/dtc and often brokers wouldnt give answers to their actions[/b]-
its only thru my calling scores of brokers and sharing that on this board that I have any idea of what brokers want-for [b]these entities were all extremely unhelpful and hostile to penny stocks
this was a perfect storm which nobody predicted and nobody could predict[/b]
[u]and these entities have all thrown up roadblocks to any resolution and are exacting a gauntlet to get things cleared up-requiring heavy expanses,lawyers ,lots of paperwork etc[/u]
Its a complicated situation without an easy answer.
Blaming the ceo's on these boards for all these unique and unexplainable actions by all these other groups is a childish knee jerk reaction by people who have no idea what is going on
