Many years ago, I used a broker at Prudential Securities, then Wachovia bought them. With both firms, any time I asked him to buy me a penny stock, which he'd do but usually advise it's risky, a few days later I'd get a confirmation letter of the trade, including a statement that Pru Sec did not recommend buying any stock under $5.00

So, are you saying the new "standard" is $1.00?
