Finally finding some peace this weekend. We had a spec house that we sold under a "contract for deed" to some horrible, horrible people who knew how to play our court system. They stopped making payments over 18 months ago and remained in the house (we do have a mortgage on the property) and with the court system not wanting to violate their rights, we have large attorney fees, monthly mortgage, HOA fees, taxes, insurance, etc. plus have not been able to list the property for sale.
It's like something out of a movie....finally resolved (we think) by 2 March or we get the house back. Jury trial was scheduled for mid April, they said if they lost they would appeal to the state Supreme Court (could take 2-3 yrs to get on docket) and they still remain in the house for free.
Our investment in Amarantus is a piece of cake compared to the above ramblings. Lesson is be extremely careful who you let into you're life....the system will not help you, even if it's obviously unfair. We have lost over 175k, Ambs is gold compared to this real estate venture.
Aloha, BSR
