For what it is worth, here is an email excerpt from a very large compounding company (e.g., $25 million in monthly sales); it's an email the company sent to its rep groups on Tuesday: During the months of January and February it is typical for sales to be down due to a new year with a new medical insurance deductibles.

Here is another note from a different individual in response to my direct question about the impact of ES's third phase: The main thing we have seen a change in this month, is the deductibles that everyone has to meet for the year. That is why the reimbursement has dropped.

I actually had a compounding script for me approved by my employer's health plan last week, but because I have not yet met my deductible, I have the choice to come out of pocket up to $1,800 or take a pill. for now I will chose the pill till I slowly meet my deductible.
