However you need 'bashers' here. They give you a common enemy to unite against which ignites your spirit and that also compels you to buy stock and keep the price propped. Without any common perceived enemy, investors' focus would slowly turn toward wondering why the company continually misleads them and never comes up with any results in what those investors believe to be the world's first commercially-viable pyrolysis process.
