Nanotech's Nuvola NP-1 4K OTT Streaming Media Player included in JVC's New Distributor Showroom Offer
10:00 AM ET, 01/20/2015 - PR Newswire
SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NanoTech Entertainment (OTCPINK: NTEK), a pioneer in bringing the 4K Ultra HD experience to consumers, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with JVC (JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation), the brand associated with the best in audio and video technology since 1927. Under the agreement, JVC will offer select distributors two of NanoTech's award-winning products for their showrooms--the Nuvola NP-1™ consumer 4K Media Player and UltraFlix™, NanoTech's all-4K streaming VOD network which will come preinstalled on the NP-1 player.

JVC distributor showrooms are used for dealer trainings and to provide integrators with a place to bring prospective customers for demos. With the NP-1 player and UltraFlix's vast library of 4K Ultra HD content, JVC distributors can demonstrate the theater-like picture quality of JVC D-ILA (Digital Direct Image Light Amplifier) Home Theater Projectors. The bundles will be offered to JVC distributors for a limited time starting February 1 through February 28, 2015.

The Nuvola NP-1 is a multifunction consumer device that can be used to decode a variety of video formats and resolutions including 4K Ultra HD, HD, SD and 3D movies. UltraFlix, the recipient of the Envisioneering Innovation & Design award at the 2015 CES in Las Vegas, NV, is the source for the world's largest and most diverse library of 4K VOD content. With UltraFlix, users will have one-click access to more than 500 hours of pristine 4K Ultra HD PPV content, including 25 made-for-IMAX® theatrical titles, 50 superstar concerts and a wide selection of action/thriller, comedy, drama and family movies as well as breath-taking extreme sports videos, TV shows and 100 hours of dazzling free content.

Based on the Android™ Operating System, the Nuvola also provides fast, easy website access as well as access to thousands of video games and applications from NVIDIA® Tegra® Zone and the Google Play™ Store.

The Nuvola NP-1 player connects to the JVC 4K e-shift3 projectors via their Native 4K-enabled HDMI inputs to deliver sharp, theater-like images.

The JVC projector lineup includes the DLA-X500R, DLA-X700R and DLA-X900RKT with class-leading Native Contrast Ratios of 60,000:1, 1,200,000:1 and 150,000:1 respectively. What makes JVC projectors unique is the use of three D-ILA imaging chips (one each for red, green and blue) to ensure natural, flicker-free image reproduction with 3840x2160 resolution on-screen. The complete line of D-ILA projectors also features JVC's exclusive 4K e-shift3 technology which accepts Native 4K 60P through the 4K-enabled HDMI inputs and up-converts existing 1080P sources to 4K precision.

"One of the biggest issues facing the 4K projector market has been a lack of available content, " said Roger West, General Manager. " With NanoTech's Nuvola NP-1 and UltraFlix able to bring more than 500 hours of 4K Ultra HD content to our D-ILA Projector distributors, the availability of 4K content is no longer an issue. That creates a compelling value proposition for the JVC distributors we're targeting with this special offer as well as their dealers and their dealers' customers."

"JVC home theater projectors are among the most innovative and most highly rated," said Aaron Taylor, NanoTech's Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "We share their commitment to delivering ground-breaking technology with the highest quality and are delighted to bring the world's largest and most diverse library of 4K VOD content to JVC's customers."
