Thanks alj14. It is very difficult to stay the course when you see something like this happen. But look at CTIX past moves -- these horrible corrections happen. If you look at things like JAZZ, ACAD, etc., you will see that it took a lot of patience before the stock took off and then people made many, many times their initial investment.
In the case of those 2, people made fortunes on investments of a few thousand bucks. Obviously that is extremely unusual, but biotechs are very risky but potentially very high reward. I have always said that people need to have a basket of biotechs because some will go to zero and others will take off. I have violated my own premise because CTIX is by far my largest holding, although I have positions in a number of other biotechs. Some of them have been dogs but I'm still holding because I think they will pay off eventually -- and some of them are at break-even or in the green.
NOTHING has changed with CTIX investment thesis, except that the odds of success are greater now than they were two weeks ago (on the basis of new information), even though this stock price move has been very, very painful.
