Given the beat-down in unconventional oil and the great disparity between decline rates, costs, and debt to the ever-declining yet much cheaper conventional plays - and the continually increasing world-wide demand as the chart illustrates - we should see a recovery pretty soon. Anyone making purchases like this would likely have a grasp of this - or we count on them being responsible, as you point out.
