Your last statement was "they were making some final attempt to make something happen". What businessman in his right mind would "try to make something happen" by cutting and pasting "advertisement and sales bullet points from brochures"?
I would think the "attempt to make something happen" would be a bit more credible and a meaningful attempt at purchasing oil production or similar. You sound as idiotic as the prior TECO BOD.
