The point is that a person does not have to login everytime he or she wants to look at a website. It appears that Ihangout is trying to increase its membership and in essence its revenue by forcing people to register. But by doing so they risk forcing current members to abandon ship.
People do not like such inconveniences and their advertisement that stay on, blocking webpage without a means of closing it seems poorly designed and ill-advised. Nothing and definitely not a website is that important and there are too many options out there. And so, if Ihangout keeps that up, look for membership to plummet which would be contrary to their perceived intentions.
