1. DirecTV and Fox Networks carve TV Everywhere deal

Filling in an important patch in the ever-so-complicated web of TV Everywhere rights deals, DirecTV (NASDAQ: DTV) and Fox Networks announced a multiscreen agreement covering the Fox broadcast network as well as cable channels FX, Fox Sports 1 and National Geographic.
The agreement gives DirecTV's more than 20 million U.S. satellite TV customers access to the Fox Now, FXNow and Nat Geo TV apps, which allow them to watch programming on mobile devices anywhere they can get an Internet connection.
DirecTV subs also have access to live feeds from FX, FXX, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 out of the home via the DirecTV Everywhere platform.
Beginning in the first quarter, DirecTV will also launch VOD programming from all Fox networks on its Everywhere platform.

"As more and more viewers seek to access our networks on an array of devices and platforms, it's crucial we meet their expectations with innovative ways to engage with our programming where they want and when they want."
