Jobs, earnings in focus after big quarter
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — U.S. stocks may have finished the first quarter of 2012 with gains not seen in over a decade but that’s just giving some money managers more cause to sift through data in the coming week to see if there’s any sound basis for the rally.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA +0.50% , the S&P 500 Index SPX +0.37% and the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP -0.12% all finished the week up around 1% to log 8%, 12%, and 19% gains for the quarter, respectively.
