Undoubtedly some FAA are working.
The problem at this time is that the tasks require many multiple of specialized FAA personnel to be on hand at the same time.
Unfortunately, even if one is out, then the rest of them can't cover for him and get the task done.
My interpretation is that nothing of substance will get done between now and the first full week of January......unless of course, we get word from Washington ......yay or nay.....about the last mini-evac.
