Nice find. It is interesting how that dovetails with the "Recent" activity on the DUTV Twitter site with 3 power companies following the DUTV Twitter site on and off from each of their Communications Directors. DUKE, PG&E and SDG&E. In the bottom of your article it demonstrated "Smart Metering" tied into "NAN'S Neighborhood Area Networks....It is a huge market....Power companies (SDG&E) eliminated meter readers, vehicles, insurance costs in my area 2 years ago....

So it all boil's down to ...."How much do your Minutes cost"??? to your base costs on the expense line....
