Dave, What you don't factor in is how many things happened this year that were not announced. The focus is always on what date they missed, rather than what they accomplished. Also things change, priorities shift, resources are limited, sh-t happens. When dealing with third parties, dates are estimated. Not like the government has a SLA.
If my favorite FB team goes into a game with a plan on running the ball 70% of the time and they switch to passing for whatever reason, I am not going to go on about how they moved away from the run. If they throw in a new play, good for them. Not, why didn't they tell me that was coming.
This is why people say "we intend", "we plan", "we are considering" and not "please bet the farm, because even if it kills us, we will not miss this date..."
If the company has a track record of not making you happy. Why stick around. You'll frustrate yourself over the next few years.
