Yes, yes, and yes. A new name and new ticker symbol would make everything dandy and completely wipe the slate clean. Investors are just too dumb to even do the basic research to know what a company did a week ago. The new TECO would simply spring from nowhere and be a multi-billion dollar company. I guess it would make the current investors feel good knowing that the public would not even want to know how the new company came to be. Again, I suppose the investing world is simply stupid and lazy, and Mr. Market can be very irrational – very funny indeed.
