DRM is probably Digital Rights Management which is probably encrypting and/or converting it to sell. Just a guess though.
Not knowing anything about the process, that seems like an awful lot of time for converting a movie, but what do I know? Maybe that's just standard. How long have they had that hardware? Aren't they supposed to have three of them running 24/7? Didn't I read that somewhere?
