You can't post images directly from your computer. You have to upload the image to an image hosting service. Once the image has been uploaded, a URL will be generated to insert between the (img) (/img) markers created by hitting the Image button.
There are many free image hosting services available.
The one I use is here: http://postimage.org
If you find an image online you want to post as a pic, you copy the URL for that pic and insert it between the image tags as described above. For example, here's an image on the Amarantus website that is shown here simply by copying the URL and inserting it between the image tags.
