Dr. Urano certainly made clear his intention to use MANF injections to heal damage to the eye caused by wolframs! His picture of a "syringe" when talking about MANF made that abundantly clear!
However, I do not possess a great enough science background to determine which method of using MANF he is alluding to regarding the treatment of wolframs itself. Can someone point out to me from his presentation posted today whether he plans on using MANF injections to treat wolframs itself, or whether he could be referring to stimulating the production of MANF within the cells through his "small molecule method?" He has stated before that he prefers that method, at least "for the moment."
I would like someone with good science understanding to evaluate this honest question, based on this new presentation. It's an honest question because I've already taken for granted that our MANF injections will be used on the eye. But if our MANF injections are used to treat wolframs in the pancreas, then a "cure for wolframs is a cure for diabetes." That is why I have been trying to understand what Urano has been saying about this, because if in addition to treating the eye, if MANF can cure diabetes.....then....WOW. But I don't want to jump the gun. Urano has been elusive about this topic, at least for my level of understanding.
