From what I have heard in the past, Baltia's next planes are going to be of the 747-400 model.
They are more efficient than the 747-200s, but with fuel prices so low at this time, that efficiency difference isn't as much of an issue as before.
Bottom line: It is a really good time for the birth of Baltia Air Lines.
Travel is up, fuel prices are down.....and even the sanctions on Russia are working to Baltia's advantage.
With the huge decrease in $s coming in to the Kremlin, Russia is anxious to bring in revenues where ever they can find them.
Baltia's arrival at Pulkovo - after a 3 billion dollar renovation just completed in November of 2013 - is going to be greatly welcomed.
I seriously do not see any hang-ups when it comes time for the Russians to give their final approval for N706BL to land on their soil.
