Next week I will travel to Bedford Ma and stop at Progress software where I will get a copy of the 4 GL database management system that progress offers for sale. They will send me the copy which consists today of a position on the cloud.
When I started with Progress it consisted of 5 floppy disks of 5 1/4 inch floppy disks. Then toward the last time I put a working copy of a 4 GLDB system program on the web I downloaded it.
At this point in time I suspect that progress is on the cloud and costs 3 times what it did then. I will get a copy for Linux.
We did not sell a single share today. The scare tactics are working.
