I remind Emmett of his vow of silence and Dan concurs . “I try the oil with a piece of a roll. Emmett grabs a roll and tares of a piece (of roll) and proceeds to do the mime thing giving me silent instructions in the fine art of dipping. The roll is crisp and quite good. The oil is cheap and has some hot peppers and garlic powder and salt and lemon. I would have preferred fresh garlic and the lemon juice was from a bottle. I detected black pepper which was not required because of the red pepper flakes. The black pepper was not freshly ground. I make much better at home. I’m not a snob but I can cook. I forgot to tell Emmett to put a copy of open table on his phone.
