One of our resident experts is confusing packaging and processing. In one of her previous posts she mentioned turning the leaves into their final bud form or some similar verbage. The buds are cut from the plants like an ear of corn. The buds grow on the plant to their final form. The leaves and plants must be destroyed in a documented process under the current regulations. To prepare buds for sale and shipment requires alternately sealing and drying to cure the product. The buds are the only legal product under the MMPR and require no "processing" before sale. The analogy of a Heinz or Smirnoff factory are erroneous.
