It appears that the viral capabilities were discovered after the filing of this application. In order to expand the protection to viruses they will likely file a continuation-in-part which would allow them to slightly expand on this application to include viruses while still keeping most of the date for the other details.

So as of right now it is just for bacteria.

The case is not showing up in PTO pair yet so we do not know the details on the status yet. We should be able to see them by next week hopefully.
