ACC launches plastics-to-oil group
By Dan Leif, Plastics Recycling Update

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has formed a group to promote plastics-to-oil technology, which a number of firms have been exploring to monetize material that would otherwise be sent to landfills.

The plastics-to-oil concept has grabbed the attention of many in the waste and environmental sectors in recent years, but it's also struggled to prove profitable. One firm, JBI, closed an Ontario facility last summer in a cost-cutting effort.

That's good, they have the privilege of being mentioned in an article that states the process is not profitable and they had to close a facility. Not a glowing endorsement. The ACC itself does not include PTOI.

True, but please note that JBI/PTOI did not just close a facility...
They closed all their facilities including the pilot plant in NF and the recycle operation in Canada, plus the never used blending facility. They appear to be insolvent and are no longer a "going concern".
