It's called dumping. That is the core reason for price drops. Someone(I won't say his name) dumps huge blocks that way instead of making 10 thousand transactions that will drive the pps even lower. Trading 101. Just like people that don't want to chase the price up...people don't chase the price down when dumping. Hope that helps.
