Angel had this to say about "the lab" yesterday...

When asked the question, "If testing isn't BG's #1 strategy, "why test?" (or better yet, how does testing contribute to the company)?"

Angel's reply,
"Lab testing creates consumer relationships and business relationships (dispensaries, farmers, manufacturers). This forms a brand that emanates as a beacon of trust in buying power for both sides of the retail equation. The result is data collection and business intelligence analytics that pave the path for additional business models that are aligned with profits stemming from purchasing dollars (transactions), suggest selling to consumers (targeted advertising), and retail business optimization. Testing represents an expense line on the balance sheet of our retail customers. For this reason, a lab will always work against downward pricing pressure (further increased by competitors). The latter models represents a relationship with top line earnings, a more desirable proposition, because it represents greater increased income for retail customers.

The former enables the latter. This is a summary look at our vertical integration strategy."
