There are a number of links by doing a Google search. For example http://www.recycle.net/Plastic/ldpe/xv100400.html shows various ads for wanted plastic scrap and plastic scrap for sale.
Just multiply the price per lb by 2,000 to get the price per ton and you can get a feel for prices. Prices out of the ordinary probably means the plastic scrap has some unusual characteristics.
Keep in mind that oil dropped recently so petroleum products like plastic will follow so prices may be moderately lower than $800 currently. Diesel is also now down to $750/ton based on the spot price. The best guess at PTOI's efficiency for "fuel" (not diesel) is anywhere from 65% as reported by the graduate student's report to 87% per PTOI's claims. I will say that 85%-90% conversion to liquid by pyrolysis in general isn't unusual.

I can find sellers who want $1350/metric ton for scrap milk bottles or $1,800/ton for resin and Rawnoc can point you to a link where someone is giving away a couple hundred oil-soaked plastic buckets for free or to several free tons of styrofoam for anyone willing to load up a few semi trucks with the material and haul it away.
