The facts are: Lakeshore's Director of Community and Development Services Solicited Jim Shaban for installation of a marihuana production facility on his rural property which is currently zoned for agricultural use.
At that time marihuana production facilities were not specifically regulated in the town of Lakeshore.
The Health Canada licensing process for CEN Biotech was initiated under the zoning regulations in place at the time.
The Town of Lakeshore was notified that the facilities intended use was marihuana production and made no protest.
The Town of Lakeshore as of their July 15th 2014 meeting was proposing zoning changes specific to marihuana production facilities which included agricultural and employment land usage.
To date agriculture requires no site plan approval in Lakeshore.
