GREELEY, Colo. — Anadarko Petroleum Corp. says it is producing more than 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the Wattenberg Field in northeast Colorado.
The production figure includes oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids.
Anadarko has more than 5,300 wells in the Wattenberg Field in the resource-rich Niobrara formation. It has using techniques like hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling to tap resources.
The company estimates it has up to 1.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent in recoverable resources in the Wattenberg Field.
