It is precisely because the twice monthly report- giving mm's plenty of time to manipulate- in addition to the dozens of ways they have to hide true shorts- is WORTHLESS, that shorters usually focus on it rather than the more accurate daily barometers,as short volume often ranges widely from day to day in a typical otc stock,so a twice monthly reporting is indeed worthless.
