Stock futures edge higher ahead of ISM data
MADRID (MarketWatch)—Stock market futures managed to stay in the plus column on Monday, helped somewhat by an upbeat manufacturing survey out of China. But weekend comments from officials over debt negotiations and data on manufacturing from the U.S. were expected to draw the biggest attention from investors.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (CBOT JZ2) rose 16 points to 13,024, while those for the Standard & Poor’s 500 index (GLC:SPZ2) rose 1.6 points to 1,416. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index (CME:NDZ2) rose 8.50 points, or 0.3%, to 2,685.25.
