It is obvious to me that you really do not understand how consultants work. Basically, you give them money, they design/review your process or product. They do not retain the IP for what they are paid to do.
Let me give you a comprable example. Say you have a vintage 60's corvette but you need extensive body work. You pay a body shop to make it right and then you sell it for a large sum of money. Who benefits from the sale??? Here's a hint to help you out...it's not the body shop!
