The SEC was highlighted on NPR radio today via the Diane Rehm show.  It's an interesting 52 minute listen and really champions the SEC.   Minutes 23-26 are particularly interesting as they discuss "whistleblowing" and how the SEC is looking for insiders and others that know exactly what and where infractions exist wherein prosecute can be successful.

The most interesting area IMO was a discussion on how the SEC no longer has another agency providing check and balance.  They are now able to operate and make decisions on who to prosecute autonomously.

After listening, I am more convinced than ever that the SEC's prosecution decisions are and were being made without proper basis and foundation in certain cases.
