Very interesting.  I am in school, my last year of engineering and I had to take a history class.  So I am studying Western Civ.  Early Roman empire, very interesting stuff.

I have been an optimist most of my life, but I think darker times may be ahead.  Good things may come out on the other side, but our society has grown too large with too many people on the dole.

Look at Hurricane Sandy.  They gave everyone damn near a weeks notice.  Abundant warning.  People still ignored it and assumed they could order Chinese take out from their iphone.

Crazy...

In the mean time, my investment advice is this....

precious metals = brass and lead    buy, buy, buy.....
