Dr. Rubinfeld was instrumental in helping establish the early strategy of seeking treatments for orphan indications as a means of speeding MANF approvals for other diseases, such as Parkinson's. That was no small part, but may seem to be overshadowed by the contributions others have made since his earlier and continuing involvement in that area.
