For the record, the discussions regarding zoning are not company specific. The process as outlined will see the town studying different jurisdictions and what they did regarding medical mj and hemp growing. The town first will finalise their zoning amendments, bring them forward for a vote, then take it to Essex County for final approval.
Once that is done it will become known which sites may be included or excluded from the zoning amendment (for example site 1 may no longer be Agricultural Value Added but just Agricultural) package. If site #1 remains value added then the site specific aspect will come into play and each applicant will have to apply for a zoning amendment. Once the town votes on the amendment application it is sent to the Ontario Municipal Board for approval after any appeals are heard. Once council votes there is a mandatory twenty day appeals period allowing for a part to appear before the OMB to appeal the town council decision. This is going to take months to complete.
