Allbets try and look at the equation from the seller's side as well. If you wanted to sell, and sell now, do you want to risk putting a limit below 2 cents given the past history of support at that level? Your sell may never be filled. Regardless, when you do sell, your effect on the market supply/demand is gone, and there is now one less seller in the equation.

I would say the same applies for bears short-selling the stock.
