Shares coming off restriction can still be held by the owner. It does not mean they have been absorbed into the market. Holders can hold those large blocks for months, if not years, before they are spread into the market. And the holder can dump them, or sell parts, or do whatever they want. If there is a finer relationship between restricted and unrestricted stocks that affects the stock price, I'm not sure what it is. If someone knows, please educate me.
