I think maybe he pulled the trigger a little prematurely and is now trying to cover his tracks. A true investor would never want another to think that he could have sold his shares for more, but failed to do so. And once again, does it really matter if it was recognized as a sell or a buy. If you supposedly sold them, than someone had to of bought them. And that is all that matters.  Sounds like maybe you made a mistake??
