URI Properties in Texas
Uranium Resources began operations in 1977 in the Texas Gulf Coast uranium region, which is rich in uranium ore. The Company has successfully completed several projects in the region and has produced over eight million pounds of uranium to date.
URI currently controls four major properties in the state of Texas: Los Finados (1), Kingsville Dome (2), Rosita (3) and Vasquez (4). In addition, the Company controls the Mosser (5) and Marshall (6) properties which are currently being evaluated for their mining potential.
URI’s objectives in Texas are to explore for and develop a larger reserve base, advance current properties through licensing and permitting, lease additional targeted properties and work with its customers to redefine the terms of its sales agreements to enable better margins and greater likelihood of returning to production in Texas.
