If your asking for my, 'guess', on that it would be as follows:
First, anything they say, or commit to gives people reason for drama, and even when they do not, it gives people reason for drama.
Therefore, to reduce the drama, it is better to say nothing, in case life happens and you for some reason can not follow up.
Second, is that maybe, just maybe, they want to speak about more than the License, and they are putting together a PR that also has other news or even a little forward guidance.
Of course , this is just my GUESS, as to why, but, it does add up to me. After a year.....I can wait a few days. GLTA
