For anyone who has significant time the Cochrane Diagnostic Test Accuracy group has a plethora of information to help understand test protocols, methodology, analysis and interpretation of results, etc. This website is definitely a great resource for overall understanding of diagnostic tests. The website probably has a lot more information than we need, but I would recommend chapter 11 in the handbook to anyone who has some time.
