I saw a documentary about venture capitalists on Netflix last night. The story about Genentech was insightful in light of Mach's idea that the company should look at outsourcing production of the N-Assay. Genentech founders decided to outsource the development of their technology for $250k rather than go it alone for $3m.
Nanologix is in a different phase than Genentech was at the time, but the logic and benefits of outsourcing is apparent. Genentech outsourced to well known, established and reputable laboratories. Who might Nanologix outsource to? Genentech was eventually bought for $47B. I am looking forward to Mach's analysis of the potential revenues Nanologix can generate with the N-Assay.
