Trading Tips.

Can anyone recommend what to look for on stocks with a descent upside? I am looking for some short term gains to go along with my long term.

I know volume is key so that I am able to buy and sell easily. Just some info on possible websites or even some books to help me hone my strategies would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note I do like reading Watson and his insights over there on the farm. I do wish he would just move over here and let the crazies have it.
