Maybe we should look at the bashers profiles and buy a couple of million shares in the company's where they bash the hardest after doing some DD. Then just lock them up and go away for a couple of years and come back and see what the price has gone up to.

Hedge funds deliberately short sub pennies as they can buy a lot of shares very cheaply. The higher a sub penny company's share price goes, the less it gets shorted. You can buy 100 times more shares in a company if the price is 0001 than if it is 01!

I don't think the hedge funds really started doing this until 2007. Before that, I think they just marked up the stock on the release of a new PR no matter whether they thought it was fiction or not.
