Mike, Gerald isn't the largest shareholder. From the proxy filing the largest shareholder among management and board members is Gerald's father.
Dr. John W. Commissiong 20,464,636 shares 2.59% of outstanding shares
I believe one of the private equity shareholders has an equal number or slightly more than JC holds, but either JC or the private shareholder is likely the largest shareholder in the company. Gerald only holds 8,641,783 shares as of the July 28, 2014 record date. Both Gerald and John hold unexercised options that would increase their holdings substantially.
