Re: TexasRambler #16969
Tex, I may be wrong on this-its been awhile-but seems like Hollund had to have a local company arrangement to do business in Panama. Pedro Barquet owns B & B Madera and is very well thought of by the Kuna tribe, so a good fit to start off. Just part of doing business in Panama I think. The Panamanian govt is very sensitive about the Kunas since they did flood their villages and wipe out their little farms. But I understand Pedro and himr has done an excellent job in working with these people and assuring them of a future once himr has left Bayano, ie, tilapia fish farming for one. maybe even hemp aquaponic farming.
