But I'm pointing out why it was a poor assumption (that I was also a part of, mind you). I rationalized the drop afterwards and wondered why I thought at any point this was going to help the stock. Did I really think that many people at this event were going to buying in? I think we were all being a little too naïve and a little too hopeful. And it's plummeting because it DIDN'T go the way we expected.
Look, I don't disagree with your plan of selling and buying lower as you stated. I think you're right to do it, quite honestly. I'm just saying that as investors, we got our hopes a little too high on something that, rationally speaking, shouldn't have done a whole hell of a lot to the share price.
I'm not even convinced Oct. 1 will drive the price up. But it's another step in the right direction. It's not a gain/loss until you sell, but I fail to see how Thunder over Michigan brought us farther away from our goal. Based on the price, you'd think that's exactly what happened. It's essentially investors not instilling confidence in the company right now, but I don't see a reason for it at least as it relates to the event. A million other reasons from the past, sure. But not from the event.
